Last weekend was our kickoff for “Celebrating 90 years of Faith and Love” here at your Church of the Annunziata. One of God’s many blessings is our Annunziata School, which for 34 years has been a beautiful collaboration of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and our Parish. During these years, this partnership has been a shining example of our whole hearted commitment to students with special learning needs in a Catholic school who have benefitted from a self-contained school setting.
From the very beginning, Gerre Book has been the rock upon which God has nourished this special community, first as a teacher, and now as the Principal and teacher with her wonderful faculty, to help the parents of our great children develop their child’s full God given potential! This past Tuesday, we celebrated a graduation Mass with our graduates and their families as all our students look forward to their high school years.
When the Archdiocese approached our Parish with a proposal to fund an elevator in order to make our school building fully ADA accessible, I expressed our Annunziata Parishioners' gratitude for this vote of confidence in our Parish Mission. Renovations have begun to install the elevator in our school building under the direction and the funding of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
I ask your prayers for the construction workers during these upcoming summer days. It is their intention to have the work completed before the beginning of the new school year in August. We thank the Archdiocese, and look forward to the continuing opportunities this renovation will bring for the youth of today and tomorrow who learn in different ways. Thank you, Annunziata Parishioners, for your prayers and continued support!
